Ceist:

95 Mr. Power asked the Minister for Education when she hopes to produce legislation to implement the proposals in the Hamilton report to remove the uncertainty that exists regarding the holding of major concerts in the country. [12310/95]

Arising from the Hamilton report on public safety and crowd control, a working party was established to draw up a code of practice for safety at sports grounds and at outdoor pop concerts and other outdoor musical events.

The current plans are that these voluntary codes of practice will be published shortly and will be issued to event promoters, stadium management bodies, governing bodies of sport, local authorities and other appropriate agencies involved.
