No psychologist has been appointed to schools in the County Offaly area by my Department to date in 1995.
Following a recent competition conducted by the Civil Service Commission, an offer of appointment was made for a post of psychologist to be based in Tullamore. However the successful candidate declined the appointment.
It is proposed to relocate a psychologist already serving in my Department to Tullamore early in the 1995-96 school year.
