110 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the status of an application for horticultural equipment under the scheme of grant-aid for investment in commercial horticulture for a person (details supplied) in County Limerick. [12447/95]
A total of 423 projects, including one from the person referred to, were received for consideration in the first round of the scheme of grant aid for investments in commercial horticulture under the operational programme for agriculture, rural development and forestry (1994-1999).
Initial inspections and interviews are now being carried out and will be completed shortly. As the funds available are insufficient to grant aid all the applicants in this round it is necessary to have applications assessed and grants awarded on a priority basis.
