Ceist:115 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht if he will carry out a feasibility study on the possibility of reopening the waterway from Lough Rynn to the Shannon at Clonart. [12684/95]

I have no proposals to undertake such a study at present. The National Canals and Waterways Strategy, which is the general policy basis for inland waterways developments, makes no recommendation for extension of navigation to Lough Rynn.
