171 Mr. Kenneally asked the Minister for the Environment when approval will be given to Waterford County Council to appoint consultants for its west Waterford regional water supply scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13120/95]

Given the high level of demands under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve this proposal.
