My decision on the abolition of fees relates to fees paid by fulltime undergraduate students attending publicly funded and certain other designated third level institutions.
It is necessary to adopt this approach because the resources available to fund this measure are limited.
I would hope that, as resources become available, it will be possible to extend this free fees initiative to cover students attending night courses.
