359 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will extend the time for applicants who had been given a one year period to complete farmyard pollution work to qualify for the rural environment protection schemes. [13114/95]
My Department has submitted proposals to the European Commission for an amendment to the REPS scheme whereby the necessary pollution control work could be carried out over a longer period than that applying at present, i.e. 12 months from that date of commencement of the agri-environmental plan.
