54 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in introducing regulations to require the public registration of lettings of private rented dwellings; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13636/95]
There has been no undue delay. A consultation process was initiated to obtain the views of all the interests involved prior to making the new regulations. Arising from this, one representative body has undertaken to make a further submission to me shortly. I am awaiting this before making final decisions on the points involved.
