Wallace asked the Minister for Health the number of persons in each of the last five years who have lost their entitlement to receive disabled persons maintenance allowance in view of changed residential arrangements; and the measures, if any, taken by his Department and bodies under the aegis of his Department to assemble this information. Limerick East): The information requested is not readily available. The collection of the information would require examination of individual disabled persons maintenance allowance files. As the Deputy is aware the disabled persons maintenance allowance scheme is transferring to the Department of Social Welfare and will be fully computerised. This may facilitate the production of the information requested by the Deputy in the future.
