80 Mr. Hilliard asked the Minister for Finance the amount of value-added tax which was collected from persons on old-age pensions by way of electricity units used over the past two years. [15604/95]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the information requested by the Deputy is not available from official records.

81 Mr. Hilliard asked the Minister for Finance the amount of value-added tax which was collected from telephone accounts of old age pensioners in receipt of the free telephone rental allowance during the past two years. [15605/95]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the information requested by the Deputy is not available from official records. However, I should point out that the VAT arising on the free telephone rental is not borne by the pensioner but is included in the allowance paid by the Department of Social Welfare.

82 Mr. Hilliard asked the Minister for Finance the amount of value-added tax which was collected by way of telephone accounts over the past two years. [15606/95]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the specific information requested is not available from official records. However, VAT receipts in respect of telecommunications services were £115.6 million for 1993 and £117.8 million for 1994. The receipts for 1995 are estimated at £133.4 million.
