Details of the number of secondary teachers on my Department's payroll during the academic years 1990-91, 1991-92, 1992-93, 1993-94, 1994-95 and 1995-96 are given in the table below. The current position is given in the case of 1995-96. In all other years the position as at 1 January is given.
