Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Broughan — the provision of youth services and facilities in the Belcamp parish in Darndale, Dublin 17, and the Foxfield parish in Kilbarrack, Dublin 13; (2) Deputy Seán Ryan — the proposals, if any, currently under examination for a second commercial airport at Baldonnel, County Dublin; (3) Deputy Eric Byrne — the need for Ireland to press at EU level and in other international fora for the imposition of an arms embargo and other appropriate measures against Nigeria following the sentencing to death of a writer (details supplied) and nine other individuals and in view of the rapidly deteriorating human rights situation in Nigeria; (4) Deputy O'Donoghue — the steps being taken to prevent the widespread importation of illegal drugs into the State and (5) Deputy Andrews — the action being taken regarding the recent series of robberies in Blackrock, County Dublin, and the policy of early release from prison in view of the fact that a person on weekend release at the time was apprehended in connection with one of those robberies. The matters raised by Deputies Eric Byrne, Broughan, O'Donoghue and Andrews have been selected for discussion.
