Total investment, including public, private and EU investment under the programme is forecast to reach £652 million by the end of 1999. This investment is expected to create up to 35,000 full-time job equivalents in the economy, including 17,250 in direct tourism employment, 6,000 in construction and associated capital works and the balance of 11,750 in indirect and induced employment.
