58 Mr. Martin asked the Minister for Tourism and Trade, in view of his recent support for IDA inward investment projects, the reason he has not sought increases in funding for Bord Fáilte and ABT who annually assist in creating large amounts of new employment. [16853/95]
As the House is aware the levels of funding for State agencies are determined each year in the context of the Estimates campaign and the overall state of the Government finances.
I can assure the Deputy that the Minister will endeavour to ensure that appropriate levels of funding are available to Bord Fáilte and ABT to enable the employment and other targets set for the tourism and export sectors to be met.
