I will take Questions Nos. 167 and 168 together.

The issues raised by these questions is a day to day matter for the companies involved.
However, if the Deputy is referring to the Exchequer liability in respect of pre-vesting day pensions, the position is that the Minister for Finance has agreed arrangements to deal with this liability to both the Telecom Éireann and the An Post Superannuation Funds. This involves the Exchequer reimbursing the funds on an ongoing basis for all outlay in respect of employee service given in the former Department of Posts and Telegraphs pre-1984. In addition, interest is paid on the liability incurred to the funds to 1994 of approximately £250 million in the case of Telecom Éireann and approximately £200 million in the case of An Post.
I would also point out that information concerning the companies superannuation schemes is given in note 21 of the Telecom Éireann annual report and accounts for the year ended 30 March 1995, and in note 20 of the annual report and accounts for An Post for the year ended 31 December 1994, copies of which are lodged in the Dáil Library.
