The Select Committee on Finance and General Affairs has considered Supplementary Estimates for Public Services for the year ending 31 December 1995 in respect of Vote 1 — President's Establishment, Vote 2 — Houses of the Oireachtas and the European Parliament, Vote 6 — Office of the Minister for Finance, Vote 13 — Office of the Attorney General, Vote 15 — Valuation and Ordnance Survey and Vote 17 — Office of the Ombudsman; arising from its consideration of the supplementary provision proposed under subhead R — Irish Institute for European Affairs of the Vote for Office of the Minister for Finance — the committee has requested the Minister for Finance to furnish before 1 February a statement on the current modus operandi of the Irish college in Louvain and its role in preserving and nurturing an important heritage with particular reference to the reported removal of insignia and symbols of the college's original history. The Supplementary Estimates are hereby reported to the Dáil.
