Vol. 459 No. 6

Written Answers. - Fertility Treatment Fundings.

Helen Keogh

Ceist:

84 Ms Keogh asked the Minister for Health the reason some health boards fund fertility treatment abroad while other health boards are refusing to fund such treatment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18168/95]

, Limerick East): Health boards may refer patients for treatment outside the State where certain criteria have been met, including urgent medical necessity and the non-availability of the treatment within the State.
