104 Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for the Environment when a decision is excepted on the Connemara Environment Project which is an application for assistance from the Cohesion Fund by Galway County Council; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18647/95]
An application for the Connemara Environment Project was submitted to the European Commission for assistance under the Cohesion Fund in June 1995. Financial approval to the scheme must await the outcome of this application. My Department has emphasised to the Commission the urgency of this and other environmental projects for which application has been made.
