Vol. 459 No. 7

Written Answers. - Clashmore (Waterford) School.

Austin Deasy

Ceist:

44 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in providing a ball court for Clashmore national school, Clashmore, County Waterford, in view of the fact that this grant has been sanctioned and work was to have commenced during the summer holidays; and if she will ensure that work is carried out immediately. [17359/95]

My Department sanctioned a grant towards the cost of providing a ballcourt at the school referred to by the Deputy in June 1995.

The school authorities were notified of the details and the local Office of Public Works was requested to assist in having the works carried out. The Office of Public Works has assured my Department that every effort will be made to commence work on the project in the next few weeks.
