Ceist:

380 Mr. M. McDowell asked the Minister for Justice the number of indictable crimes of violence, murder, manslaughter, assault, robbery, rape and sexual assaults in 1994; the number of larcenies, burglaries and interference with mechanically propelled vehicles observed by the Garda stations in Rathmines, Donnybrook, Irishtown, Harcourt Terrace, Pearse Street and Kevin Street; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Most of the information sought by the Deputy is not readily available and it is being compiled at present. The information which is available is as follows: Rathmines Garda Station has recorded one murder, three assaults, 32 robberies and 1151 burglaries; Donnybrook Garda Station has recorded five assaults; Pearse Street Garda Station has recorded 21 assaults and Kevin Street Garda Station has recorded four assaults.
