Vol. 460 No. 3

Written Answers. - Diabetic Nursing Service

Declan Bree

Ceist:

155 Mr. Bree asked the Minister for Health if he will have arrangements made to extend the hours of the diabetic nurse in Letterkenny General Hospital to a full 39 hour week in view of the fact that this nurse currently works 19.5 hours per week. [19301/96]

Limerick East): The organisation of diabetic nursing services at Letterkenny General Hospital is, in the first instance, a matter for the North-Western Health Board. Any proposed increase in staffing levels for this service must be considered in the context of the level of resources available and the North-Western Health Board's priorities for the development of hospital services.
