91 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when he will recommence the dairy hygiene scheme of grants in respect of refrigerated bulk milk tanks and milking machine accessories for farmers who produce less than 30,000 gallons of milk. [1673/96]
I indicated some time ago that the equipment referred to by the Deputy would be included among items for which grant aid would be available to farmers with quotas of less than 30,000 gallons under the dairy hygiene scheme when the co-responsibility levy funded scheme operated by the ICOS had run its course.
This is now the case and arrangements to have the equipment in question covered by the dairy hygiene scheme are currently being made.
