Ceist:147 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Education if she will sanction the commencement of work on an extension to Ardscoil Phobal Bheanntraí, secondary school, County Cork; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [2484/96]
Written Answers - School Extension.
An extension of 753m² is currently being planned for Ardscoil Phobal Bheanntraí, County Cork. The school authorities recently submitted a proposed design team for this project. This proposal is currently being examined by the Department's Technical Staff and when the design team is appointed, architectural planning of the extension will proceed.
The question of providing capital funds for building will not arise until the planning process has been fully completed. At this early stage, it is not possible to say when construction work will commence.
