Limerick East): Following the circulation of the draft Health Insurance Regulations pursuant to the Health Insurance Act, 1994, my Department has been in discussions with the European Commission relating to the proposed regulatory framework for health insurance in this country. I am awaiting final notification of the Commission's position and I am very hopeful that this notification will be received in the near future. Following receipt of that notification. I hope to be able to sign the regulations.
