Ceist:

56 Miss Harney asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs the cost to his Department, if any, of task forces and review groups he has established since his appointment in January 1993. [3129/96]

I propose taking Questions Nos. 54, 55 and 56 together.

No task force or review group has been established in the Department of Foreign Affairs since my appointment. However, I have established one task force in the Office of the Tánaiste.

The Task Force on Long-term Unemployment was established in September 1994, and the following persons were appointed to it:

Julie O'Neill (Chairperson), Office of the Tánaiste.

Dermot McCarthy, Department of An Taoiseach.

Rody Molloy, Department of Enterprise and Employment.

John Fitzgerald (replaced Paddy Howard), Department of Finance.

Seán Halpin, Department of Social Welfare.

Máire Nic Uidhir, Department of Education.

Finian Matthews, Department of the Environment.

Séamus Feely, Office of the Tánaiste.

Gerry Pyke, FÁS.

Anna Lee, Tallaght Partnership.

Peter Davitt, Ballymun Job Centre Co-Op.

Brendan Hayes, SIPTU/Irish Trade Union Trust.

John Barry (replaced Finbarr Golden), Comhair Cathair Corcaigh Teo.

Jimmy Murphy, Centre for the Unemployed, Tralee.

Yvonne Murphy, Programme Director, Institute for Action and Research on Work and Employment (CORI).

Tony Crooks, ADM Ltd.

The total cost of the task force to date is £48,000.
