Written Answers. - Proposed New Syllabi.
In accordance with the commitments in the document A Government of Renewal and in the White Paper on Education, "Charting our Education Future", civic, social and political education will be introduced for junior cycle students at second level in September 1996.
Following consultations and agreement with the partners in education new syllabi will not be introduced for any leaving certificate subjects in September, 1996.
