210 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Education the progress, if any, on the negotiations with teacher unions on their claim for early retirement and other associated claims; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [3699/96]
Negotiations with the teacher unions on their claim for early retirement and other associated claims are currently taking place under the terms of the Programme for Competitiveness and Work agreement on pay and conditions of service.
As the negotiations are being conducted on the basis that "nothing is agreed until everything is agreed" it would be inappropriate for me to comment until a settlement on all issues has been reached.
