Statistics on the numbers of unemployed people are compiled by the Central Statistics Office. An analysis by unemployed duration is compiled twice each year in respect of a date in April and a date in October.
The following table sets out the number of persons on the live register for various durations of continuous registration in October 1994 and October 1995:
