Vol. 462 No. 3

Written Answers. - Office of Public Works Changes.

Noel Ahern

Ceist:

50 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Finance the organisational changes, if any, that are taking place in the Office of Public Works; the sections other than the printing section, Bishop Street, Dublin, that are being privatised; the number and grades of staff involved; whether alternative employment is being offered to all employees; and the locations and sections involved. [4663/96]

There are no significant organisational changes taking place in the Office of Public Works other than the transfer of the Heritage Service, with support staff, to the Department of Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht on foot of a Government decision. There are no current plans to privatise any section of the Office of Public Works.
