Ceist:45 Mr. M. McDowell asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when he proposes to publish a development strategy for forestry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4706/96]
I propose to take both these questions together and I refer both Deputies to my reply to a question on this matter on Tuesday 30 January. It reads as follows: Because of its complexity, preparation of the plan has taken much longer than anticipated. It is, however, in its final stages and I expect to submit it to Government in March, and to publish it, subject to the Government decision, shortly thereafter.
