Ceist:178 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for Education if she has sought inclusion of such projects as the Outdoor Pursuit Centres at Tanagh, Rockcorry, County Monaghan, for funding from the EU programme for peace. [5037/96]
Written Answers. - EU Programme for Peace Funding.
My Department understands that the projects to be funded under the urban and rural regeneration measures of the peace initiative are to be decided by county council led task forces which are being established in each of the six Border counties. The Department of Education has no role in that process. My Department understands from the Department of the Environment that the application for funding for the Tanagh Outdoor Education Centre will be referred to the Monaghan Task Force for consideration once the task force is operational.
