187 Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Education if she intends to provide either a resource teacher or remedial teacher to be shared among a number of schools including Donaghpatrick national school in County Galway; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [5109/96]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 186 and 187 together. I am not in a position at present to make either a remedial or a resource teacher post available to the schools referred to by the Deputy. When I am in a position to extend the remediation and/or the resource teacher service, the schools referred to by the Deputy will receive every consideration. I have requested a member of my Department's primary inspectorate to investigate the educational needs of the pupil referred to by the Deputy.
