It is assumed that the Deputy is seeking the total cost of non civil-public service staff attached to my office. The following is the information required:

The figures include salary, overtime, travel and subsistence and ancillary costs. It has not been possible in the time available to obtain costs of air fares incurred for official travel by the individuals concerned.
The reason for the increase in 1995 and 1996 over the earlier years is that a post which was filled by an employee of a semi-State body is now filled by a person whose previous employment was in the private sector.
