Ceist:201 Mrs. Geoghegan-Quinn asked the Minister for Justice the current situation regarding the upgrading of accommodation for gardaí at a Garda station (details supplied) in County Galway. [5471/96]

It is proposed to refurbish and extend the station in question and the Office of Public Works are preparing the necessary plans. While it is not possible to say at this stage when this project will commence, it will be progressed as quickly as possible having regard to overall priorities and the availability of finance.
