Vol. 463 No. 3

Written Answers. - District Court Hardship.

Ned O'Keeffe

Ceist:

295 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Justice if her attention has been drawn to the hardship being imposed on those who have to attend a District Court (details supplied) in County Cork which is being held in another town in County Cork due to repair works being carried out to the courthouse; and if she will examine the possibility of holding the Court at one of four suitable venues in the town. [6361/96]

I am aware of the difficulties caused by the temporary transfer of the District Court sittings referred to by the Deputy.

My Department in liaison with Cork County Council is considering the possible options available for the provision of suitable alternative accommodation.
