Ahern asked the Minister for Justice if she or the Minister(s) of State at her Department have directed any of the staff employed in the departmental constituency office to work directly in the local constituency clinic; if so, if this practice is in the public interest; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I propose to take Questions Nos. 298 and 301 together. The information sought in relation to Question 298 is as given in answer to Parliamentary Question No. 252 on 20 February 1996.
The Minister or her Minister of State have not directed any civil servants to work in the local constituency clinics.
