The overall co-ordination and management of the special support programme for peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland and the Border counties of Ireland is carried out by the Department of Finance and the Department of Finance and Personnel, Belfast. These two Departments jointly chair and service the programme's joint monitoring committee which meets twice a year to monitor the progress of the programme.
Membership of the monitoring committee includes representatives of the relevant Commission directorates, the relevant line Departments, the Department of Foreign Affairs, Social Partners, the Border regional authority and their counterparts in Northern Ireland. Nominations for membership of the committee from the community and voluntary sectors is yet to be agreed.
