106 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Education the progress, if any, that has been made in providing permanent status for the co-ordinators of the Youthreach Programme; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [6796/96]
My Department has commissioned a consultancy study on the staffing structure in Youthreach. The review in question began in late December 1995 and a report from the consultants is expected by the end of March 1996. The report will make recommendations on the duties, staffing structure, qualifications profile and status of employment of staff on Youthreach, having regard to the needs of the client group, the objectives of the programme and the provision in comparable services.
