Ceist:41 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Justice the current difficulties preventing the introduction of an overnight ban on the parking of heavy commercial vehicles in residential parts of Dublin. [2212/96]
Written Answers. - Overnight Parking in Dublin.
I refer the Deputy to my reply to him on 21 February 1996 on the matter. I have now been informed by the Garda authorities that Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council have been unable to identify suitable areas which would be suitable for exemption from the ban on the parking of heavy vehicles.
The matter is currently being reviewed to ascertain the options open to the Commissioner in the circumstances.
