86 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the level of remuneration of the non-executive directors of boards, companies or agencies under the aegis of his Department: and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6509/96]

The levels of remuneration payable to chairpersons and members of certain boards, agencies, etc., under the aegis of my Department are set out in the following table:

*A sum of £5,000 per annum is also payable to the chairperson in addition to the normal fee of £3,000 as remuneration for working at least one full day each week in the board.

No remuneration is payable to the chairpersons and members of the remaining boards, agencies, etc., (listed as follows) under the aegis of my Department.
