135 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the terms of reference and brief given to a consultancy company (details supplied); the recommendations made to him; whether these recommendations include reference to his public and in particular his constituency image; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Bill O'Herlihy Communications Group, through its company Public Relations of Ireland Ltd., is employed by my Department to provide ongoing advice and assistance to me in relation to my specific areas of responsibility.
The recommendations and advice provided by the Bill O'Herlihy Communications Group apply to all public relation and media matters relevant to the effective execution of my duties as Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications.
The contract is quite similar to that operated by my predecessor, Deputy Brian Cowen, who had available to him the services of Drury Communications Ltd.
