147 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Education the current position in relation to providing a remedial teacher for Scoil Naomh Bríd, Muff, County Donegal, for the 1996-1997 school year; and if she will make a statement on the provision of remedial teachers for Inishowen, County Donegal. I am not in a position at present to make remedial teacher posts available to primary schools.

I will continue to review needs in this area and consider how best these needs can be addressed within available resources. The needs of all schools, including the school referred to by the Deputy, will be considered within this context.
