41 Mr. Costello asked the Minister for the Environment whether funding has been sought from Dublin Corporation for a window replacement programme for Hardwicke Street Flats, Dublin 1, a roof replacement programme for Lourdes House, Dublin 1, the demolition of St. Judes' Garden's Dublin 1 and replacement of it by a new scheme of houses; if he proposes to sanction these schemes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have approved the corporation's request to apply part of the proceeds of the sale of Sheriff Street flats to window replacement and roof replacement-refurbishment works on a number of corporation schemes, including Hardwicke Street flats and Lourdes House. The approval is subject to the corporation contributing 50 per cent of the cost of the works from its own resources. My Department has received no proposal for a new housing scheme at St. Jude's Gardens.
