My Department regularly engages consultancy assistance for various purposes. Most consultancy projects are to assist in the development of computer systems aimed at modernising service delivery and to provide analysis of specific organisational issues. Consultancy assistance is also obtained for policy and other research purposes.
The cost to my Department of consultancies carried out in 1995 was £4,164,099. The following is a breakdown of these costs.
