ISO 14,000 is primarily the responsibility of my colleague, the Minister for Enterprise and Employment and neither my Department nor An Bord Tráchtála has any direct involvement in its administration.
I am aware, however, that An Bord Tráchtála organised an information seminar on 15 May which focused on building awareness of the importance for Irish industry of achieving the international standard ISO 14,000 and its value in terms of helping them to increase their export sales.
