Ceist:114 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for the Marine if he will sanction the commencement of works on the dredging of Castletownbere Harbour, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10670/96]
Written Answers. - Castletownbere (Cork) Harbour.
I have provided the necessary funding for dredging at Castletownbere under the 1996 Fishery Harbour Capital Development Programme. The Department's engineering division is currently analysing the specific dredging requirements at the harbour with a view to commencing the works as soon as possible. Users of the harbour are being kept informed of developments.
