Brendan Kenneally

Ceist:

63 Mr. Kenneally asked the Minister for Health the plans, if any, he has to bring the pay guidelines of speech and language therapists into line with other graduate health professionals; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10664/96]

Limerick East): A pay claim submitted by IMPACT on behalf of speech and language therapists is being processed under Clause 2 (iii) A — Annex 1 of the Programme for Competitiveness and Work.

While discussions to date have not been conclusive, the management side remains available to resume, with a view to negotiating, a mutually acceptable outcome.
