Ceist:

62 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for Health if he will request the relevant health board to review the case of a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath who urgently needs a hip operation and who was told he would be called up for this operation in March 1996. [11346/96]

Limerick East): I am advised that the person concerned was seen by a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at an out-patient clinic in February 1996. The Midland Health Board has informed me that a further appointment has been arranged for 6 June when the patient's case will be reviewed.
