Limerick East): The design brief for the phase 2 development of Mayo General Hospital has been completed and the steps necessary to appoint a design team for the project are being undertaken by the Western Health Board. The timing of the invitation of tenders by the board will depend on the rate of progress that can be achieved in relation to the completion of the preparatory stages of planning, and I am not in a position to give a precise date for the tender stage.
