64 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht if he will allocate grant aid in respect of the roofing of the Manor House of Donegal Castle in order to protect the work that has been carried out by the Office of Public Works in the reconstruction of the castle; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The National Monuments and Historic Properties Service has no plans to restore or reroof the Manor House at Donegal Castle. As conveyed previously to the Deputy some structural support and reconstruction work has been carried out to the Manor House over the last few years and further conservation work will be undertaken as necessary to preserve it as an historic ruin.
